Is eBay trying to force sellers to promote items?
Summary: neblinggirl expressed concerns about a Seiko watch listing not appearing on eBay despite being marked as active. They wondered if eBay was intentionally hiding the listing to compel promotion. krazzykats responded that they could find the listing when searched.
My husband and I have been on eBay for years and for the first time we feel they are doing something unethical.
My husband resisted a Seiko 1971 Bruce Lee Style Automatic Chronograph 6139-7001 Watch which showed up fairly quickly in the MY Ebay active but did not actually show up if you went to find it.
He waited for 2 days and still it did not show up. Even if you went to another of his items and clicked see his other items. The Seiko doesn't' show on that list. So he gave me the Seiko to list, item # 227505812323 .
Again the Seiko showed up as Active quickly , but in actuality it is nowhere on eBay to be found by customers. It is now a full day since I listed the Seiko and it isn't really there, it is only in My eBay as Active.
Is eBay doing something unethical to try and force us to promote an item?

Mentor1 month agoI easily found it by searching by item # AND searching your listings AND doing an item search by using words in the title.
