Is ebay messing with international sellers/buyers?
I want to buy something but the seller has problems with ebay:
Ebay has been messing with international shipments for about a year now. When somebody makes a purchase internationally on e bay now I cannot even see who is buying my parts. E bay ships to a forwarding company who then ships to the customer. It's a big pain.
Sorry for the hassle. We are in Canada and E bay even controls my shipments in this country.....the only thing hassle free is to the states.
IS THIS TRUE? PLEASE TELL ME IT'S NOT!

Mentor1 year ago@235awilliam I see you are located in the Netherlands according to your purchase history.
If a seller in the US is using the eBay International Shipping Program then the seller ships to a US hub and eBay forwards the package. So the seller does not see the buyers final address. The sale is tied to the buyer and seller by a code. This program is excellent for sellers because once the item reaches the US forwarding center the sellers job is done. If there is a problem with the order then eBay refunds the buyer out of their pocket.
The UK also has a package forwarding progamme called the Global Shipping Programme which doesn't have the same seller protections but works the same as far a a buyer is concerned.
eBay doesn't "control" shipping in Canada. eBay Canada like all eBay sites does have recommend shipping options so that the tracking can checked by the eBay system. Tracking is for the sellers protection to prove delivery.
