Hi. Received an item that was advertised as factory unlocked, but is actually network locked by T Mobile.

I contacted the seller but received no response.

I also contacted T Mobile, but they insisted the seller needs to be the one to contact them.

Need help having it unlocked.

@comics-scifi-collectibles I see. Well, I used a 3rd party to ship the item to Zambia. And the seller does not do returns apparently. I find it surprising as they sold quite a lot of items and have a good rating though. First time for everything I guess...smh.

@chi-mu-han The sellers return policy is for buyers remorse returns only... changed mind, doesn't fit etc.

However since you used a 3rd party package forwarding service it voids the eBay Money Back Guarantee. â˜¹ï¸

Check with your payment method to see what protections you have for an item that is significantly not as described. You might be able to file a chargeback.

When shopping in the future only buy from sellers that ship directly to you OR that use the eBay International Shipping Program. They you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee

The item was sent to another address after original delivery

Covered:

The item was forwarded as part of an eBay program such as:
- Global Shipping Program
- eBay International Shipping
- eBay Authenticity Guarantee

Not covered:

The buyer used third-party freight forwarding or mail redirection

@chi-mu-han Sorry your phone is not unlocked as the seller stated. Your only option is to return it for a full refund.

I see that you are located in Zambia. How the return request is handled depends on HOW the item was delivered to you.

Please answer these questions

#1 Did you use a third party package forwarding service?

#2 Did eBay ship the item to you using the eBay International Shipping Program ( the item would have been sent to Illinois before being forwarded to you)

#3 OR did the seller ship directly to you in Zambia?
