Iphone cannot be repaired, AllState insurance refused responsibility

Question

I purchased an IPhone6 and a one year Allstate warrantee. The purchase was made in Aug 26 2022 but I recently opened the box and discovered the battery would not hold a charge for more than a few minutes. I requested a repair from Allstate. Their response was the manufactures warrantee is in force so take it in for service. I brought it to Best Buy which is an authorized Apple repair facility and was told the phone is not reparable. Now It is beyond 30 days since purchase so I cannot use the normal return process and Allstate refuses responsibility.

Since I have no way to speak to Ebay about this problem I need help.

The issue is the Allstate warrantee which lasts for 12 months and appears to be of little value when the item is deemed not fixable by a repair facility. Ebay has no way to appeal warrantee problems in months 2 to 12.

ebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the purchase, so ebay cannot help you. You should always check items upon receipt of the item. If you paid with Paypal, you can file a return there as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase. If you paid with a credit card, you can try a chargeback with the credit card issuer.
