Invoicing add'l shipping fee
I went to ship a sold product. The buyer has a PO Box, shipping agent told me that increases shipping fees. Alerted buyer, he has agreed to pay the add'l charge. However, I cannot find where to invoice him through eBay because he has already paid. Where am I missing this invoice option?

You're not allowed to charge the buyer more for shipping than what was shown in the item listing and so eBay doesn't give you a mechanism for invoicing an additional amount.
You can only ship to a PO Box using USPS. USPS doesn't cost any more to ship to a PO Box than it does to a street address in that same zip code. However if you made an error when you entered the package dimensions and weigh in the listing form, the cost could be higher. In that case, you're expected to pay the difference out of pocket. The buyer made the decision to buy based on the listing terms you stated.

OP2 years agoThanks for the response, the postal carrier begs to differ of your statement above - she gave me a few options on how to ship and shipping to a PO Box using only USPS was not the only option.

If you are shipping at the post office, they will confirm that it does not cost more to ship to a PO Box.
Because your listing shows shipping via USPS, you MUST ship via USPS (unless your buyer agrees to accept the shipment via a different carrier).
If you are shipping from an external mailing location that handles shipping via various carriers, you may have been quoted a price using another carrier such as FedEx. Other carriers may deliver a package to a post office, but they are not delivering to a PO Box, they are delivering to a post office and then that post office delivers to the PO Box inside (which is why it could cost more). You would need to add the post office address to the label along with the buyer's phone number.
