Invoice for mailing media and non-media items in same package
Invoice lists mailing cost for each item but includes only the media cost in the order summary for total bill. It is not clear how to list the other item cost in the mailing cost.

When you send an Invoice for two items, one listed for sale with Media Mail and the other non-Media Mail then the shipping cost and method HAS to be the non-Media Mail cost and method.
If you ship Media Mail and USPS challenges that (like they hear things moving in the package or it is a sizeable box but light weight) they can open it for inspection and then charge you the Non-Media Mail rate for the total package. One of our Postal Clerks has said they have done that on more than one occasion.

OP11 months agoI called eBay rep, she knew that the media and non-media combo would cause the invoice to default to media cost only. On her advice I emailed the buyer to buy each item separately and I would combine the items in one package which, I hope, will lead to a partial refund to the buyer.

Wow, that means eBay is NOT following USPS procedures when a non-MM and MM item are on the same invoice. Of course the rep could be clueless on how the invoicing actually works.
Yes, you can have the Buyer pay for the items separately and refund any shipping overage after you Combine them on your end.
I assume you have Combined items before via the Bulk label flow, if not here is a step by step and lets hope that flow does not revert to Media Mail without the ability to change it.
-Sold items will be in your Awaiting shipment-print shipping label file
-Use the check box on the left for the items to be Combined
-At the top of the list is a Shipping drop-down menu on the left, select Print shipping labels
-The items will be moved to the Bulk label flow
-Use the check boxes again on the left and then click the Combine button at the top of the page
-The items will be Combined, over on the right you can adjust the weight, box dimensions, Shipping method (if necessary) and then review and print the label in the upper right.
-If you want a receipt it is a secondary function on the Bulk label flow.
-You can Refund the Buyer the shipping overage once you ship the package.

Mentor11 months ago@ermay5 You have to upgrade the media mail items to Ground advantage and combine the order.
Go to the sold items on this page> https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS
Put a checkmark next to both items and then select Get Shipping Label from the shipping drop down menu at the top of the list.
Next screen say yes to combine orders and adjust the shipping methods, weights and package size as needed.
Both items will now have the same tracking number in your sold items list.

OP11 months agoI followed the steps. After selecting Get Shipping Label the following message appeared over each item -'Sorry, we couldn't find a delivery service for this order. Ship to address is invalid.' How do I correct this problem?

My next step would be to go to the USPS site and do a zip code look up to see what they say about the address.
Let me know what it says on the USPS site then I can tell you what to do next

OP11 months agoThe zip code (90266-5910) matches the buyers city, which is Manhattan Beach, CA.

If it is then you can buy a shipping label on pirateship.com.
If anything looks off cancel as problem with buyers address.
Be sure to manually upload the tracking number to both items
