How can I tell if an invoice sent to me is legitimate?

Mentor2 years agoOpen a browser. Type ebay.com into the browser address bar. Sign in to your eBay account and check your Purchase History directly.
You should assume an email invoice is not legitimate unless you actually see a transaction in your Purchase History.
Do not use any links in an email you received to go to eBay or any other site, as such links may lead to a fraudulent sign-in page that can be used to obtain your credentials and hijack your account.

Remember eBay has nothing to do with anything you may see on some other website.
