Inventory management

Question

I'm a new seller, posting around 10 items weekly. I don't have a seller store. How do I manage my inventory? I'm assigning bin numbers and item numbers internally but I don't know how to enter/record those numbers on my actual listings. I see this getting out of control pretty quickly! Thanks for any advice/information.

Many people use the Custom Field / SKU for item location. It doesn't display to the buyer.

You will need to use the “Advanced Listing Tool" or the Mobile App to use the SKU field. (The "Quick Listing Tool" does not have a SKU field)

A) On the "Advanced Listing Tool" form, to get the Custom Field SKU

1) Click the "See Title Options" menu that is to the right of the Title
2) Flip the switch to add Custom Label (SKU)
3) Click Done
-- You should now have the SKU field on your screen

B) The Mobile App has SKU in "Item Specifics".

1) Click the Pencil beside Item Specifics
2) Scroll to the very bottom of the list

TIP:
If you still don't see a SKU field on your listings, then you need to Opt-In to "Seller Hub" on the website to enable that field on both the website and the mobile app.

Then go back to your listing and you should be able to select the SKU field as described above.

Using Seller Hub is the best way to add a SKU to an already listed item.

1) Go here https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active

2) Click the "Customize table" in the upper mid right

3) Check the box to add the SKU Column to your list of active listings.

4) Scroll down to your item and use the Pencil to edit the SKU field, Quantity Field, Price, etc.

4a) If it is a Variation Listing
- Click [x Variations] under the Title which will take you to the Variations page
- Click the "pencil" in the Column under SKU, "Available Quantity" and/or Price.

You can update your variation SKU, quantity, and price right there, without opening your listing.
