International UPS “processing feesâ€
I am in the US and bought a product from Canada. I asked the seller and they confirmed no import duties would be charge. Item was shipped with UPS and arrived without issues. Today I get a bill from UPS for the amount of $10 for a “handling feeâ€. No important duties are charged.
As I don’t have any power over the choice in shipping I believe the seller should understand and accept all responsibility for the cost of shipping the items to the buyer. Am I wrong in making this assumption?

Mentor10 months agoUPS charges a fee to take the item through customs ahead of other packages. $10 is actually a very reasonable fee for doing this. The seller had little choice in shipping since the Canadian postal service is on strike. eBay rules are that buyers are responsible for any fees incurred on International shipments.
