international shipping glitch
I never ship internationally and 2 of my listings which just ended today were won by a Canada buyer. I said I don't ship internationally but she sent me a copy of my listing page and under shipping if you click on "details" it shows all these countries I ship to! OMG! I looked at my other 4 listings I just posted two days ago and they all show the same. I've gone into the listings to revise and cannot as there simply is no toggle that takes it off, not did I put it on. Now I'm in a pickle as this Canadian wants the two antique jewelry pieces she won. Not the problem as much as how do I fix the listings? I'm a small seller so I just go to "sell" and list a few items and always offer flat rate and one priority choice and its the way I've done it for 24 years. So I deleted all my current listings until I can fix this. Please help! Thanks!

Mentor1 year agoebay opted you into ebay International Shipping. If an international buyer purchases an item, and pays, you would be shipping to a hub located in the USA, most likely to Glendale Heights, IL, but there are others. The hub then creates the customs form and sends the package to your buyer. Once tracking shows Delivered to the hub, your obligation is over. If the buyer files an Item not received case, or Not as described case, ebay will take care of the problem. You keep the sale.

Go to your shipping preferences - https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf
Click OPT OUT on the top selection - eBay international shipping.
Then click edit on the line exclude locations. Check off all of the international locations and save. This will override the international shipping should eBay opt you in again.
For the items sold, send the buyer an apologetic note explaining that you do not offer international shipping and did not realize that eBay had changed it, so you will cancel their purchases. Then in your sold orders select cancel transaction, then select problem with buyer’s address.

OP1 year agoThank you sooo much!! I could not find that page to opt out you gave me the link for. I clicked on the link and opted out. Since I don't sell much I just go to the bar at the top of Ebay main screen and click "Sell". I think I'll make a template or should I look into the Seller Hub? I only sell between 5 to 10 items a month, mostly vintage jewelry auction style only. I think the Hub is for a big seller and I'm afraid at 70 years old it would be too hard.

Seller hub isn’t that complicated - it just has a menu for each part of selling, like listings or orders, instead of one list on the left. It does give you easy access to lots of tools like research and reports.
Using seller hub, you can still click sell to start a listing. I always start from an existing listing and click sell similar. Or find a similar item listed for sale and click sell one like this. I always find the short path 🙂
I am also 70 - I am retired annd only sell a few items now and then, but I still use seller hub.
