international shipping damage partial refund...
Buyer purchased Item and was shipped through Ebay International Shipping Program.
Buyer is in Germany and received item but indicated there was damage.
No Domestic Insurance was purchased for the shipment but according to EIS...
Can I purchase shipping insurance?
Yes. If you purchase USPS insurance or signature confirmation for your item, it protects you against any loss or damage to the package only until it reaches the shipping hub. You’re responsible for getting the package safely to the shipping hub, but if the item is lost or damaged during international shipping, we’ve got your back....
Buyer then requests a partial refund but is unable to find the tab/menu to request the refund.
I explained where he could find the refund option but he insisted that it wasn't visible / available to him.
He was losing his patience (even though our communication wasn't even 24 hours old) so I initiated the refund for the amount we had agreed on.
My question is, will Ebay cover the partial refund (as their policy seems to indicate above) or will it come from my sales of the item?
I did see the PIP damage form for claims, however if tracking number shows no insurance you can't file the claim form.
