International Shipping Cost Calculations
I'm having some trouble with international shipping cost calculations...
I offer free shipping on my item. When shipping within the US, I offer the free shipping as my cost averages only about $4.00. I think that it provides the best incentive to buy.
When I ship the same item internationally, however, it charges the buyer about $6 or so, but then when I go to purchase the actual shipping the charges are around $15. So, I am losing money on those transactions.
I can't seem to find any way to get the proper shipping charges on those transactions.
I thought that maybe I could setup an identical item that would not have free shipping and only offer international shipping on that item, but having an identical item seems to be against ebay policies.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to solve the issue so that international buyers are charged the proper shipping amount?

Mentor2 years agoBe sure to enter the package dimensions and weight correctly in the listing and use calculated shipping. Then the buyer will pay the correct amount to his location.
When you create your shipping label, be sure to use the same class of service, size, and weight you used in the listing.
