International Shipment Not Allowed, Item Not Returned to Me

Question

I sold some antique brass buttons in June and shipped to England. I received a message from eBay saying that the item could not be shipped internationally and that eBay was refunding the buyer. I expected my item to be returned to me. It has not been. When I try to check online, the AI tells me that they will not be returned to me. I don't understand. Can anyone explain this to me?

When this happens ebay international shipping (EIS) program absorbs the lost and keeps the items you have been paid for. So neither you or the buyer are out any funds.

Thank you. The payment from eBay covered a couple of sales. I did not recognize the amount. I just went back and double checked the payouts and did receive payment for the item. Thank you for clearing that up for me!
