International returns if defective
Hey y'all! 🙂
I have rarely ordered anything from outside of the U.S., but need a handful of components that I can save decent money on by buying them from China and being patient. I noticed that generally it shows "buyer pays return shipping for returns" but wasn't sure if that applied if I end up with one or multiple duds.
If it was one or two, it wouldn't be a huge deal, but if I end up with a "lot" defective, it would add up. I know if it's inside the US and I have an issue, eBay has my back including return shipping costs.

Mentor2 years ago@memory_mayhem Buying from China is a risk, don't expect any brand name items to be the actual brand as they have VERY lax counterfeit rules in China. eBay has no way to inspect a sellers inventory that's why they have the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
You are however covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. The sellers return policy is for buyers remorse returns ONLY. The eBay MBG over rules the sellers return policy.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request.
Here's what you need to do:
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Item is defective", "Arrived damaged", "Missing Parts" OR "Doesn't Match photos and description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
The seller pays return shipping for not as described items even if they are located in another country. Returns to China MUST be sent Priority Mail. The seller can not provide a return label since they are located in another country so they have to send the $ for the return shipping to your PayPal account. 99% of the time a China seller will refund without requiring a return if the item is not as described, either willing OR eBay forces a refund if they don't send you the return shipping $ to your PayPal account.
IF you do return the item with Priority mail be sure to upload the tracking number into the return request as it's your proof of delivery to the seller.
