International Fee

Question

I noticed on a previous order that I was charged an international fee when the buyer’s address was in Wilmington, DE. What do I do to get refunded?

Wilmington DE is home to many freight forwarders. When a U.S. Seller makes a sale to a Buyer whose registered address is outside the U.S., the Seller is charged a 1.65% international fee.

Overseas Buyers using a freight forwarder in the U. S. is allowed by eBay.

"What do I do to get refunded?" You will not be refunded. Since the International Fee is a fee charged and collected by eBay, you will be able to include that fee as a deductible expense when you are preparing your federal income tax return next year.

It's not about the delivery address. It's about the buyer's registered account address (and really their payment method address).

The fee is for processing international payments. Not for shipping internationally. You probably had an International buyer. That aligns with what @fashionsandbeauty4u said as well.
