Intercepting mail?
An item was purchased and paid for. It was mailed yesterday. Today the buyer contacted me through the platform and said that their apartment number wasn’t on the eBay account and they want me to contact the post office to intercept the package and mail to the corrected address. This person has no buying history on eBay and when I looked up the name, it is a cartoon name. The address listed is for a tennis club in New York City, where there are no apartments. Is this a scam?

If not, it is a scam.

It's hard to say whether it's a scam or a confused buyer.
Still, do not redirect the package to a different address, you will lose your seller protection.
If the address is incorrect, the package will be returned to you, and then if you wish, you could refund the purchase price (not the shipping cost) to your buyer.

Mentor1 week agoLast I checked, it was $19.45 to intercept a package.
