Intention False Item Description
Why or how is it allowed for a seller to blatantly mis represent an item. Literally state an item they are selling as a specific manufacturer when it is 100% not that item. It like saying it is ok to bold face lie to the buyers on EBAY and try to deceive them into buying an item or at the very least wasting our time to look at their item. Shouldn’t there be a way to ban such despicable behavior. Dos EBAY enforce any rules around this type of situation and seller?

Mentor1 year agoSellers are responsible for the item descriptions they provide.
If you receive an item that does not match the description, file a "not as described" return within thirty days and return the item at the seller's expense. The process is automated; if the seller does not cooperate at any point, ask eBay to step in after three business days to force a refund.
Sellers are only allowed to get away with providing false descriptions to the extent that buyers let them get away with it.
Except for a few select categories that undergo authentication, sellers ship directly to buyers and eBay never sees the item at all, so it is up to buyers to determine if the item actually matches the description or not. Buyers that doubt their ability to tell the difference between a genuine item and a fake should either choose reputable sellers to buy from or else be prepared to get items authenticated within thirty days to take advantage of eBay's money back guarantee.
