insuring your sold item for the correct and true selling price though eBay shipping
I sold my item for $2000 and when I print an invoice it will only allow me to insure the item for the sum of $800 how can I increase the insurance to $2000 and still have it deducted from the money received from my buyer?

OP1 year agoI was unable to increase the insurance on eBay shipping from $750 to $2000 I had to ship it through a different carrier who let me insure it at the correct selling price

Mentor1 year agoNo need to send an Invoice. ebay does that automatically. You do not charge the buyer for any additional insurance. The buyer has ebay's Money Back Guarantee. YOU pay for any additional insurance. That album award ships using UPS. Are you sure you can't pay for additional insurance when you go to pay/print the shipping label? You may have to pay for upgraded UPS (and not Ground). Since the item is valued at more than $750, you need to get Signature Required.

You sold several other high value items, how did you add the insurance to cover those?

OP1 year agoI had to forgo shipping through eBay and ship it via Pirate Ship which allowed me to insure the shipped item at its correct selling price (putting my mind at ease of loss or theft) Still I had to pay Pirate Ship on my visa which I did not want to do I wanted the shipping charges deducted from the money collected by eBay.

I think for a sale for over $ 2,000 I would gladly take an extra step or two to insure the item ...
