insured shipping claim
I sold an item for $1000 and purchased a shipping label from Ebay with $1000 of insurance. The buyer claims it was damaged. how do i file a claim and do i wait before accepting the return

Mentor2 years agoAsk the buyer to send you photos of the damaged item, the outer box, the inner packaging, the shipping label. Tell the buyer to set everything aside in case the USPS wants to inspect it all. You will then refund the buyer. Do not have the buyer send the item back. That will negate the insurance claim. You then log into USPS.COM and file an insurance claim, uploading the photos the buyer sent you. If the USPS accepts your claim, they will send you a check.
