Insured package arrived damage domestic/international
I insured a package for an item that cost over $100. It arrived damage. The shipping address sent it to a DHL eCommerce hub in Illinois. However, it then got redirected to an address in Canada. I'd like to submit an insurance claim with USPS. However they handle domestic and international claims differently. As the address that I sent the package to was domestic, would this be a domestic claim? Or since the final destination for this package was international as seen in the tracking info, would this be an international claim?
TIA!!

If you share the item number I can verify that you shipped with the eBay International Shipping Program and NOT the eBay International Standard Delivery program. Each shipping method has different seller protections.

OP8 months agoFrom pictures that buyer sent it looks like the shipping packaging was intact and undamaged. It was a collectors corgi toy with original box. The original box was damage in the shipping so it's hard to tell at what point in the shipping the original box was damaged.

Mentor8 months agoGood NEWS! You shipped with the eBay International Shipping Program hub and the item was then delivered to the buyer by eBay.
This means that the buyer just needs to file a not as described return request and eBay will refund the buyer out of their pocket. You keep the $ from the sale.
