Insurance limit reduction?

Does anyone know why eBay has now reduced the shipping insurance limit to $1000? That makes it a bit difficult to safely ship fine jewelry and other high end items that provides them with high commissions.

@luv4gemswi The $1 thousand limit should only be on Shipcover.

Are you not able to buy USPS insurance? You should be able to purchase up to 5K USPS postal insurance.
