Mentor1 year agoSince insurance protects the seller, buyers don't need it. You have eBay's Monday Back Guarantee.

Sounds like you didn't read the information at the link I provided.
If a seller wants you to pay for insurance, he can add it to his handling cost which will display on the listing in the total shipping cost. Insurance isn't stated as a separate charge to the buyer.
It's up to the seller to add insurance at his discretion when he purchases his shipping label, as insurance protects him, not the buyer. Insurance coverage for the seller is automatically included in the shipping cost from the carrier for most classes of service on items with a value of up to $100, unless the item is very expensive, most sellers rarely buy more insurance on top of that.
