insufficient address returns - how to proceed if buyer still wants item
I've recently received an item back that was returned by USPS for insufficient address. I contacted the buyer to let them know and they indicated that technically the address was correct but I just needed to update it to include a "Unit" # in the address line.
My understanding is that as sellers we must ship to the address on their account which shows on the order page in order to be protected - so I told the buyer they must actually update their account to reflect this revised address. How do you handle getting the payment for the new postage label that will be required since the original label has already been scanned and cannot be reused? Do you just refund the original payment (minus the shipping) and then have them rebuy the item? Or is there another way to proceed? thank you

Mentor11 months agoThe best way is to refund item price only, then relist the item for the buyer to repurchase, and hopefully, he will add the Unit # in the SHIP TO address.
