insertion fees for listings less than 250

Question

I am getting a 0.30 insertion fee charged on each of my sales and I am listing less than 250 listings per month.

I thought for the first 250 listings each month the insertion fee was waived. Can anyone explain what I am missing?

Are you sure they are Insertion Fees?

The Insertion Fee is $0.35 -- 35 cents, not 30 cents. With under 250 eBay listings, you should never be charged an Insertion Fee unless you list an item in two categories. In that case, you will be charged the 35 cent fee for the second category.

I see you currently have listings in both (1) Sports Memorabilia > Sports Trading Cards Singles and (2) Collectibles.

If any of those cards are listed in two categories, that would explain an eBay Insertion Fee of $0.35.

OR -- could you be misreading or misinterpreting eBay's $0.30 -- thirty cents -- fixed per-order fee on completed sales?

eBay's Final Value Fee has two parts. The first part is the one most people focus on, which is the percentage fee. Sports Trading Cards currently have a 13.25% Final Value Fee, which is charged on the total amount paid by your buyer.

The second part is the per-order fee. For total sales under $10.00, the per-order fee is $0.30. For total sales of $10.01 and over, the per-order fee is $0.40.

Looking at your recent sold items, the majority of them probably had buyer totals of under $10.00, which would explain a 30 cent per-order final value fee on each of them.
