insertion fees
I recently noticed that my Seller Hub says I have a monthly limit of 1000 items. I have always kept my listings at 250 to avoid having to pay insertion fees. So I am confused. Does this mean that I can now post 1000 items with no insertion fees? Or is Ebay just saying that I have the privilege of paying insertion fees for 750 more items if I should ever want to do such a thing?

Mentor3 years agoYou have 2 limits shown on your home page. One is called selling promotions - that says 'list up to 250 free'.
The other box is your personal selling limit. This is how many items and what dollar value you can have active + sold each month. Above 250 insertions would be charged at $.35 each, although paying for more than about 80 would be a waste of money.
If you want to list more than 80 additional items each month, you should subscribe to a basic store for $28 per month. It gives you at least 1,000 insertions, plus a discount on your final value fees. 80 insertions pays for the $28, or about $3,300 in sales will generate enough of a fee discount to cover the cost. Or some combination of the 2.
There are other benefits to a store, like the marketing tools - being able to run sales - and $25 per quarter to use on eBay branded shipping supplies. I think the supplies are overpriced, but every little bit helps.
