INR Report
Summary: laurenm1030, a newer seller, is facing issues with two 'Item Not Received' cases despite providing tracking that showed delivery. They are confused about the next steps, whether to wait for eBay to intervene or issue a refund. jacbarcollectibles advised entering tracking information in the case notes, but laurenm1030 is frustrated with the process as updates appear unavailable and the resolution deadline is approaching. They express concern over potentially losing money despite following procedures and consider stopping their listings due to these issues.
Hi folks, newer seller here. I sold an item and used an eBay label to ship USPS. The item was scanned on time and shows as delivered, but the buyer reported item not received and now a case has been opened against me. I’ve read the articles in the help center, and it’s unclear to me if Im supposed to do nothing and wait three days to ask eBay to step in and help or if I issue the buyer refund and then eBay will refund me since I followed the proper steps. I don’t want to be out the money for simply not following the procedure the correct way, but I’m genuinely not sure which button to choose or if there’s nothing for me to do until three days has lapsed since the buyer opened the case. Thanks for your help.

OP5 days agoSo I’m still confused… when I try to update the tracking info, it’s grayed out and says tracking info can’t be changed after package is delivered but when I go into the dispute through the sellers hub I’m able to click submit so it sends the buyer a message that tracking info has been updated but the INR is still there and now the resolution date is in red bc the deadline is tomorrow, 9/3. So am I supposed to refund the buyer or does eBay do it automatically since I followed all the proper procedures and responded on time? This is absolutely ridiculous. It’s not my fault if people can’t locate their packages and I shouldn’t have to eat the cost of it. I thought this would be something covered by eBay as long as I use their labels and process to ship. I’m about to pull all my listings because I don’t have time to track down people’s packages!

Mentor1 week agoA seller never asks eBay to step in as they can decide for the buyer. In this case you enter the tracking number into the case notes and eBay should find in your favor. Do not wait three days or eBay can find in the buyers favor as you did not respond in time.

OP5 days agoNow I have two INR!! But they both say this when I click through the options so do I do anything further or eBay just handles from here? The buyer is sending angry messages but I genuinely don’t know what to tell them. This is so frustrating.
