INR issue. Help?
So, I have two other posts about this:
I had a claim started and interestingly enough, when I woke up this morning, I was greeted to a message that the seller had update my tracking information. So, somehow we went from THREE different China Post tracking numbers--which btw still have active tracking scans on them.. to ONE UPS tracking number. That UPS tracking number says the package was delivered on 5/8 at 2:08pm. Further information on this says it was "left at front desk" and signed for by "Ford"; in my city.
The problem therein is this.. I live at a private residence. There is no front desk, and moreso, there is no one here with the name of Ford. But.. I don't have the package. I have nothing.
Does UPS have some sort of GPS that shows where the package 'was' when it was delivered? I'm just finding it very coincidental that on the day before the claim is to close, 'magically' there's updated tracking showing a delivery. However, nothing has changed on my end. Just now, I'm more flustered than ever.
Thanks for any input.

Mentor4 months ago@deltapupjux I marked it so that you will get a notification, otherwise the replies are not always seen. It just means that we provided all of the information that we can for your problem.
It doesn't mean that your refund is issued as we are just Mentor's and can't refund you. You will need to follow up with UPS and eBay customer service on social media.
I understand and share your frustration with the false tracking scam. This scam is not unique to eBay and does happen on other sites too.

Mentor4 months ago@deltapupjux It sounds like you are victim of a false tracking scam.
I'm sorry that happened.
1) First, call the post office/shipper to see if the tracking number label contained your name and your address. (They won't tell you whose name *is* on the package, only that your name and address *is not*.)
we know that is not going to happen)
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the Post Office/shipper if they will put this in writing; it's helpful, but not required. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:
FOR UPS:
You can usually find the weight and other details for UPS here:
https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_US&requester=ST/
then click " Proof of Delivery"
The proof of delivery may have more details about the delivery site, and the weight. Screenshot that.
FOR FEDEX:
You can usually find the weight and other details for FedEx here:
https://www.fedex.com/en-us/tracking.html
Then click 'View More Details' to see the package weight. Screenshot that.
2) Then, report the seller using this process
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller used a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Share any documentation you gathered. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on Instagram this way:
Send a private direct message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you so save this option for last.

OP4 months agoUnfortunately on the UPS website, under Proof of Delivery, there is no package details at all. It does say, that this was a multi-package delivery. That part seems right, given it was to be a total of 4 boxes. But that's the most I can see.
I still don't know where to go from here. That said, UPS is closed today, so perhaps I can call tomorrow and check GPS details on the package(s).
