I bought an Ovation guitar on Ebay about 10 years ago. It was stolen. I found it in a local pawn shop. The police will not help me without a serial number or proof of ownership. Even though I have tons of pictures of me with the item. I was hoping eBay could provide me with proof of sale and item description. The guitar had a crack in it and you would think that would be proof enough, that I know about the crack.

Mentor1 year agoUnless the serial number was in the item title, eBay may not be much help.
You can request a report, but the same basic info would appear in your feedback if you exchanged feedback.
Any chance the original seller might know the serial number and be able to provide some documentation? Might be worth asking.

My first thought is to check your PayPal account. Their records go back further than eBay's.
