Increase cost of item because of additional shipping
Made a purchase where the seller had accepted an offer with a set shipping cost. Today I get a message saying that they would like an additional in shipping cost because they underestimated the original shipping cost by $160. What options do I have, they want me to pay the additional $160 for shipping when we had an agreed upon price for cost of item and shipping. They are saying I need to pay the additional shipping before they will ship my item. What do I do. Never had this happen. I think they should eat the additional shipping cost because that's what both parties agreed to from the start.

Mentor5 months agoYou are NOT obligated to pay any more than what was agreed to in the offer, as Best Offer is for the item price only. If the seller made a mistake in entering the weight and dimensions of the package, s/he has to pay out of pocket. ebay should have sent you a message/invoice for the purchase. Pay it. Let the seller know you are looking forward to receiving your items.
