Incorrect unwanted listings
Why when I search for items for my 1946 DeSoto, do things for other vehicles (Chevy, Packard, Ford, etc.) show up?

Some unscrupulous sellers have discovered that they can get their listings to appear in the maximum number of searches by including spam keyword lists of every possible make, model and year in the item-specifics.
You may be better off searching for specific parts rather than for every listing that contains the keywords 1946 and DeSoto. That way you can narrow your search to a specific category and avoid many unrelated listings.
Or else try grouping your keywords together with a dash so they must appear together in order, like this:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1946-DeSoto&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=10
If you want to see every possible 1946 DeSoto parts listing, try excluding a random make, model or year, like this, and limit your results to non-new items in the automotive parts categories:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1946+DeSoto+-1933+-jaguar+-hupmobile&_sacat=6030&rt=nc&_odkw=1946+DeSoto+-1933+-jaguar+&_osacat=6030&_sop=10&LH_ItemCondition=3000%7C7000%7C2500
