incorrect address - first time seller

Question

first time seller. recently made my first sale and proceeded to print the label i purchased from ebay to discover that ebay is using my old mailing address (in VA). i confirmed that my account profile correctly lists my current address (in CA). I don't know why the label is listing my VA address (the account was created when i resided in VA but I only used the account to shop vice sell). I'm also wondering if I can still use the label as-is at the post office? ideas?

The address that prints on the shipping label is set when you print your label.

You can use the label, but likely the postage will be wrong and you will be upcharged. I suggest you cancel that label, and get a new label with the correct address. Here's how:

Here's how to cancel (or void) an unused shipping label you purchased on eBay:

- Go to Manage shipping labels: https://www.ebay.com/ship/labels/my-ebay

- Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select CANCEL.

- Choose your reason for canceling the label.

- Select Cancel shipping label.

You have 28 days to cancel a label. The refund will come about 21 days after you cancel.

Then, you can print another label with the correct ship from and return address

1) Go to the order https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

2) Select View Order Details, then Print Another Label <<==

3) Enter the correct addresses before printing. Below is how to fix the address on the label.

There is a 'Edit' button on the lower right-hand side of the Print Shipping Label screen.

- If you don't see something like this to the right on the shipping screen, click the "Show additional shipping options" on the upper right, then look again.

Ship from

This Town OH 4xxxx-xxxx

Return to

Other City OH 4xxxx-xxxx

Click the 'Edit' underneath the addresses.

You'll be able to select the addresses you entered in to your account.

-- Return Address is what prints on the label

On the App,

Get Shipping Label

Click the > to the right of Order Details

Edit Ship From to enter the drop off zip code.

Add a separate Return To address if that applies.

-- Ship From Zip prints at the very top of the label by the postage.

These are often the same address.
