Inaccurate Posting by Seller
Scenario: seller ships item that posted no damage. Item arrives with damage. Original posting photos also show the damage but seller denies they do. Buyer paid $x for item based on posted condition of the item. Seller puts condition on return stating buyer must be return item in same condition they shipped it to get full refund but states multiple times shipped with no damage. Buyer wants to keep item but wants partial refund due to the inaccurate posting. How can get this resolved? Buyer states they do not do partial refunds. There is no option here accept for buyer to pay full price of a misrepresented item. Buyer has gotten partial refunds similar scenarios easily other sellers. Buyer reported seller as the damage is visible original postings but has not heard anything and based on ebay policy do not think will hear. What can buyer expect from help from ebay? Buyer wants to keep item but wants seller to to be fair and honest about condition of item where original photos get reviewed and confirmed that the defects when know what to look for are there in the original posting. Does ebay help on resolution buyer and seller in cases like these? Buyer can produce receipt for repair cost. Is seller telling truth they cannot offer partial refund? How come others sellers were able when posted condition was wrong or had error. I have never come across a seller not able to admit an error on their end like this before. What to do? Seller sells tons of items on ebay and I only see one other negative feedback very similar in their history feedbacks.
