In a panic, I cancelled my return request. Now I can't get a refund?

I bought a MacBook advertised as brand new from a seller with a "0" rating. Dumb, I know. I thought eBay would refund me if anything went wrong.

When my purchase arrived, I unwrapped a used, dirty, and damaged 9yr old MacBook. When I disputed this with the seller, they sent pictures of a new MacBook, claiming that's what they sent.

I had started a return request, but when once I realized this was clearly fraud, I panicked and canceled the request, thinking I should talk to eBay first.

After calling eBay, they told me that because I canceled the return request, I couldn't open another one and they couldnâ€™t help.

I called my credit card company and they're looking into it, but I'd really prefer eBay to fix this obvious case of fraud. Any suggestions?

Ebay can't help you because you closed the Return Request and also because you contacted your credit card.

Now that you have contacted your credit card company you have to let them handle it.
