Import taxes I wasn't made aware of
Purchased a ring in Australia. Parcel now held in UK until import charges are paid. Could cost £s bur not made aware by seller. Ebay policy says seller should advise you of import fees when purchasing. Any advice

Mentor3 years agoAll countries have customs fees/import taxes if the imported item exceeds a specified amount. I believe ebay has a blub about that, but I included that information in my listings eons ago. I'm surprised you weren't aware of that since you have had your ebay account since 2011, unless you haven't had too many international purchases. Here in the USA, there are no customs fees/import charges unless the item exceeds $800 (or maybe $750, I can never remember which). All of my international purchases have been way less than that amount.
