immediate shipping?
Lately, I have seen several sellers show immediately after purchase that the item is being shipped. that is a bunch of crap. that way they will not let you cancel if you made a mistake. an item should only say shipping if it is in the hands of the usps or whoever. how can they do that? Just my two cents.

Mentor2 years agoWhen I create a label, the item says shipped. I then put it in my mailbox. When my mail carrier picks it up, it gets an acceptance scan. In my mind, once I print the label, it is shipped.
You really shouldn't be cancelling orders. That costs sellers time and money. Sellers do not have to honor a cancellation request and sometimes it is impossible to do so. I have printed a label, put it in the mailbox, and had it picked up in minutes. There is no cancelling. Also, many sellers (myself included) will block a buyer once they cancel an order. We don't want to deal with that.

Mentor2 years agoThe shipping process begins when a label is created - that's why eBay and just about every other website notifies you when the label is created to say the item is shipping, on the way, etc. Some sellers have ordering systems that automatically create the label when the order comes in to start the order pulling and packaging process.
eBay has no way of knowing when the package is in the hands of USPS unless the seller gets an acceptance scan. In some cases, the first scan may be at delivery.
Sellers are not obligated to honor a cancellation request whether they have shipped or not. How often are you asking to cancel orders that this is a problem? (I've never had that need in 19 years on eBay.) The key here is to decide you want the item BEFORE committing to the buy, not after, and this won't be an issue for you.
