I'm tired of a Chinese scammer, I need my money back.
In short. I bought a phone, and the scammer sent me a box of screws.
I opened a dispute, and he offered me a 10% refund (haha).
I refused it, and now he opened a return for the item to proceed with a full refund. Here's what he said:
"Hello friend! I have received your return request. Due to geographical reasons, I am unable to purchase a return label in your country. We can pay for the shipping fee to your PayPal account so that you can mail the item back to us. Once we receive the item, we will provide you with a refund. We will also continue to contact the logistics company to check the specific status of the package. Since you have initiated the return process, we must follow the regulations to handle the return first. However, we will definitely investigate the specific situation. Thank you very much!"
And:
Hello friend! This is our return address: Room 9016, Shayuanpu Building, Minzhi Street, Longhua District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, postal code 518000. Mr. Chen can be reached by phone at 19129438345 Due to geographical reasons, I am unable to purchase labels in your country. We can pay the shipping fee to your PayPal account and have you mail the item back. Once we receive the item, we will provide you with a refund. Thank you very much!
Of course, I didn't accept the money so as not to compromise the eBay guarantee...
My questions are: The seller isn't giving me a valid way to return the item according to eBay's policies, is that correct?
The only thing I get is "ship the item back by...."
Followed by a short return address in chinese.
But that's not an ebays return label, right?
I need help, I'm desperate, and the eBay system is a labyrinth.

To have tracking proof of delivery after you purchase the return label with the $ the seller sent you be sure to return to the refund request add the tracking number into the case.
Personally since it's a low value item I feel that they are trying to have you return I think they are just delaying and trying to scam you.
I recommend asking eBay to step in from the return request on the 4th business day after opening the case. eBay may then just force a refund.

Mentor5 months agoThe seller cannot provide a return shipping label valid in the USA. Sending the shipping amount to your Paypal account is the correct way to send you funds to purchase the shipping label. Find out how much it will cost to send the item back to China, and make sure that is the amount the seller sends to your Paypal account, and then you can purchase the shipping label at USPS. Make sure you ship PRIORITY so you get tracking. Depending on how large the phone is, the USPS has flat rate priority boxes that can be used.

Mentor5 months agoMost flat rate boxes cannot be sent Internationally. They are designed for domestic only shipments.
