I'm the seller, i accepted a counteroffer. Why can't i send an invoice?
Used to, when you accepted a offer or counteroffer it would say congratulations, your item sold! Now it doesn't do anything when you accept a counteroffer, it is actually still listed in for sale showing up in searches. And apparently there isn't a way to send an invoice to the person either. What has happened to to eBay??

eBay sends the invoices and plenty of reminders to pay. There is no reason for the seller to send more (annoying) reminders to pay.
Once the buyer pays, it will no longer show as available for sale. Until they pay, it is available for others to purchase.

I guess it makes sense on one hand. It just seems like eBay would make it feel like a binding deal when someone's offer is accepted by a seller. They used to. Now nothing saying that your has item sold. That's what's annoying to me as a seller.

The buyer receives a message that the offer was accepted and provides a Pay Now button. It IS a binding deal.
You should see the sold item in your orders list - that's what tells you that your item was sold. You should also receive an email, but it's possible you missed it, there was a hiccup in your email program, or it ended up in your spam folder.

That is exactly the way it should be and how it used to be. No emails or messages from ebay. Checked spam, junk, ebay messages, not a thing. Mobile app and PC versions used to check. They definitely have some issues.
But the item is still listed and there in a search for that type of item. If you click review offers it shows folders for received, sent, pending and completed. This particular item is shown under the pending and only says it is awaiting payment.
I know i shouldn't even waste time looking into it, but it irks me for some reason knowing that you can accept a counteroffer on a for sale item and eBay doesn't acknowledge it and it is still listed for sale.

I don't make offers, so I can't tell you from experience, but pending sounds like the offer was accepted and hasn't been paid for yet. If you accepted the offer, then the listing should not be found in general search (unless you have more than one available).
At any rate, if the buyer doesn't pay...
If a buyer hasn't paid by day five, select the cancellation option in the dropdown next to the order using the reason that the buyer hasn't paid. The buyer will earn an unpaid item strike on his account. Two or more and his ability to buy will be limited or even ended.
Add the buyer to your blocked buyer list here:

Scroll down that page and turn on the option to auto-block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items within 12 months. That will help to protect you from repeat offenders.

Hopefully the buyer pays and i don't have to block anyone.
