both cell phone electronics ive purchased are stolen because of the high crime rate on stealing cell phones and i want information on what to do since i put insurance on both and it not cover that genere

Hi @btcjosephbtc You may want to consider getting a PO box for your USPS deliveries. That way you have more protection against local crime at your residence.

Shipping insurance covers items lost or damaged in shipping. It does not cover theft after delivery. Buyers are expected to provide a safe delivery address for their purchases. Consider having the item delivered to your place of employment (if that makes sense), to a friend or family member, or getting a post office box.

You may be able to make a claim on your homeowner's policy for the stolen items. You'll probably need a police report.
