I’m a New eBay Seller from Pakistan — What Steps Should I Take First?
Hi everyone,
I’m a new eBay seller based in Pakistan and I have recently created my eBay account. I want to start selling correctly and follow eBay’s policies from the beginning.
Could experienced sellers from Pakistan or other countries please guide me through the correct step-by-step process?
My main questions are:
What should I do first after creating my account?
What verification or payment setup should I complete?
What shipping settings should I use as a Pakistan-based seller?
If I want to sell products to US buyers, what should I know about item location and shipping?
What business policies should I set up before creating my first listing?
What important eBay policies should I understand before listing products?
What common mistakes should a new Pakistan-based seller avoid?
I would really appreciate a simple step-by-step roadmap from account setup to my first compliant listing.
Thank you!

Mentor1 week ago@primenest76 You will need to link a Payoneer account to your eBay account. The eBay account type, name address, and government ID must match the Payoneer account exactly. You must use your actual physical address, not a PO box.
I recommend that you use the eBay Export site as it will walk you through the steps of setting up a Selling account and how to create your listings too.

If a seller is registered in a country that does not have its own dedicated native eBay managed payment banking integration or local platform domain setup, they must use Payoneer. Examples include:
India
Pakistan
Ukraine
Philippines
Malaysia
Hong Kong
Most other international countries globally where eBay operates cross-border trading

OP1 week agoThank you so, so much for your answer and for explaining everything to me. I have learned a lot from what you told me.
But whenever I do this, my account gets suspended. I have created 3 accounts from Pakistan one after another, but all of them have been suspended. I am very worried and I really don’t understand what is happening.
A few days ago, I even created an account for my friend. I connected it as a buyer and purchased a product, but after a few days, that account was also suspended.
Now I really don’t understand how to solve this problem. Please, I am very worried. Could you please tell me what I should do to fix this issue?

Mentor1 week ago@primenest76 Once an account is suspended then all other accounts that use that same sign up information will also be suspended. Something must not have matched with the information provided to eBay.
I am sorry to say that I don't think you are going to be able to open another account unless customer service can first remove the suspension which usually does not happen.

Mentor1 week agoBefore going further, which ebay country website are you registered on? If the USA one you will need a USA bank and USA tax ID.
