If someone wins and auction and wants to cancel?
We had other bids on an item. This “buyer†wins and wants to cancel shortly after they won.
Isn’t there a way eBay would let the other bidders know and offer it to the next bid down from the flakey winner?
thanks

·2 years agoIf you are the seller you can make a Second Chance Offer to any losing bidder who has not opted out of receiving offers from sellers. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-auctions/making-second-chance-offers?id=4142&st=3&pos=1&query=Making%20Second%20Chance%20Offers&intent=second&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1067
HOWEVER, SCOs are not a substitute for the cancellation process. They are for when you have completed the cancellation process (now at the buyer's request or after 4 calendar day for non-payment) so s/he can't change his/her mind and pay leaving you required to ship the same item to 2 different buyers. (On the other hand if you have duplicates you can use the SCO process to sell some to losing bidders without having to go through the "list similar" process.)
