If eBay ALWAYS side with the buyer, why sellers still sell?
Most experts here say you only get 1% idiots but that’s not my experience. I only sold twice and twice the buyers were idiots who don’t read description. Why should sellers put up with this? YOU are the one who allow eBay to behave this way. YOU are the one who is allowing your abuser to abuse you. What’s stopping buyers from sending back a rock instead of the item and claim item not as described?
Take them to small claims. Go through arbitration if it’s compelled. Since seller cannot even leave negative feedback for buyers, we cannot even weed out the idiots. eBay needs to realize this is not the way. This place is becoming a scammers’ playground. It especially suck that sellers pays the fees making eBay rich.

So, unless I miss my guess, you had the Gucci dress returned that you sold on November 10th ...
The No returns accepted return policy is not a guarantee that nothing will be returned, eBay has numerous reasons that will force a Seller to pay for a return shipping label and refund within 2 days upon receipt.
Sadly, eBay has No returns accepted as the default return policy on the listing tools which sends the wrong message to Sellers. Selling online, either one Bay or ANY other venue is Retail sales and returns are part of doing business.
Really sorry it happened ...

OP8 months agoBuyer even admitted she did not read description. No, not just this one. My wife has her account and she had a bag returned to her with not as described as the reason. Reason was the stain inside looks darker than it is in the photo. These people should NOT buy online. We have a consignment store here and every thing is sold as-is no return.

The vast majority of sales on eBay go through without a hitch but some categories seem to get more than others. Our experience over 10 years of selling on three accounts and in excess of 10,000 sales the return rate is extremely low. For myself I offer 30 day Free returns, most of what I sell can be resold unless it is damaged on the return. We've only had one switched item return. On a certain level it's a numbers game.
In any event, I am sorry it happened ...

Not all buyers are "idiots" as you infer. Ebay does have a 30 day Money Back Guarantee for buyers so they can file a return request. If the buyer returns a different item, (such as a "rock" instead of the item) you can appeal it to Ebay.
Good luck!
