I won! Now the seller is asking for more money
I am a noob at eBay auctions - so I was very surprised when I won my first auction today!
However, the seller reached out right after I paid and demanded I pay MORE for shipping on account of his mistake.
I dont have anymore money.I put my max bid in.
And I'm afraid if I dont pay him he will ship the goods with extra damage or worse.
what do i do?

Mentor3 years agoYou really don't need to worry, as you have the eBay 30 day money back guarantee. You are protected if you seller doesn't ship or if there are issues. Have you read about it? It can be found on nearly every page. Keep an eye on your purchase history. If you don't receive your item by the estimated date of delivery, click on I haven't received my item. The seller would then have 3 business days to refund (voluntarily). If not, go back to the case on the 4th business day and click ask eBay to step in. They will refund you from the seller's funds (involuntarily).
Sounds like a new seller who doesn't understand selling just yet! Don't listen, you don't have to pay more. It was the seller's mistake and the seller has to pay for the difference from their own money. Don't be surprised if they cancel the transaction. They will be punished if they do, as eBay doesn't like sellers who disappoint buyers.

Mentor3 years agoSince you won the auction, can't you pay from the notice that came from eBay? You don't have to pay from the seller's invoice with added shipping. Sounds like a new seller who didn't realize that extra fees were involved with the size of the item.

OP3 years agoI've already paid. I paid immediately. He had shipping already added for $32 + the auction price. I won the item and paid immediate for the auction item and the $32 shipping.
he then sent me a message saying it was his mistake and I need to pay more for shipping.
Seller is telling me that I am not fair or kind.
This was my first auction. Probably my last. Kind of a joke that eBay won't step in and help deal with this kind of stuff.

OP3 years agoit's a used golf bag. I imagine it has wear and tear but maybe a little more tear now that I'm not falling for his scam. thanks for the help rockstar
