I won a bid on an item for and then I was charged for the original asking price+ tax.

Question

I won a bid on an item. After all was said and done I was charged the complete asking price for the item. I want to speak to an eBay rep but no one picks up and the automated service isn't helping me at all. I just want to be refunded the extra fees I was charged + the extra TAX fee. I can't find any help with the automated system or as much as I try, I can't speak to a live rep.

I'm not sure why you think you've been "overcharged". If you made a bid and won, you win at that price. You can post an item number here and we can look at the listing if you wish.

I know I have to pay for taxes on an item that I purchase but if I'm overcharged I also pay more tax money on the purchased item. That's what I meant about the tax being charged.

Yes, taxes are charged on online purchases, just like in a store.

When you make a bid and your bid wins, the seller can't add any additional fees/dollar amount to it, if that's what you are thinking. It is an automated system without interference. You either pay, ask the seller to cancel (which they do not have to do), or not pay and earn a strike on your account.
