I WISH EBAY WOULD ADVISE SELLER'S FOR WOMEN'S WEAR TO...
...TO EITHER BE REQUIRED TO GIVE ADEQUATE INFORMATION RE SIZE OF ITEM BY STATING: SIZE IN INCHES: LENGTH OF GARMENT, WIDTH (ARMPIT TO ARMPIT), SLEEVE LENGTH. THIS CAN BE DONE BY TEXT IN "DESCRIPTION" OR CAN BE SHOWN WITH A RULER/TAPE MEASURE IN PHOTOS. IT'S SUCH A "PAIN" FOR ME AS A BUYER TO HAVE TO "CONTACT SELLER" EVERY TIME I AM BUYING CLOTHING (TOPS). THE SAME MANUFACTURER CAN HAVE WIDELY DIFFERENT MEASUREMENTS FOR, SAY, A MEDIUM, PER ITEM. I HAVE LEARNED TO ASK THE SELLER TO MEASURE EVERY TIME IF THE INFORMATION IS NOT GIVEN. EVERYONE SEARCHING FOR AN ITEM NEEDS THAT INFORMATION TO NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WHEN ARTICLE ARRIVES?

I think ALL buyers would appreciate having measurements for clothing … but I don’t believe eBay would be able to enforce it as a ‘requirement’, since eBay can’t monitor the 1.7 billion listings on its site.
I can only recommend bypassing listings that lack measurements … OR continue contacting sellers to ask for them, which is admittedly a pain in the butt.
[Some sellers have posted that it takes too long to measure every item that they are making little profit on. Go figure!?]
