That's up to each buyer. Many buyers believe the tariff is worth it to get the item they want. No one is likely not going to buy just because you don't want to pay the tariff. It's an individual choice.
Buyers are informed about the tariff cost when they make payment, so there are no surprises.
Buyers who can't get the item in there own country and believe the cost is worth it.
eBay sellers are shipping to international buyers all the time, so there are buyers out there who still find it worth it.
Since you don't find it worth it, just limit your search to your own country. You are posting on the US site. If you shop on the Canadian site, that will help limit what items are available to you.
If your item is shipped via eBay International Shipping, the cost is shown at checkout. If the item is shipped directly to you, it's disclosed and charged at delivery.
Tariff changes have been in the news for a year now. It's up to the buyer to find out what the tariff cost will be before buying.
