I was sold an Echo that was labeled "NEW" but it was registered to someone else. EBAY refuses to help with a return. I should have used paypal because unlike EBAY, they care about the customer.

Did you file a ‘return request’ … saying the item was ‘not as described’? eBay doesn’t need to help you do that. You do it yourself from your Purchase History.
You would lose your eBay Money Back Guarantee if you open a case with PayPal first … and you’d have to pay the return shipping.

Mentor3 years agoOpen a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.
