I was sold a stolen item, please help.

Hi,

I purchased a item about a year ago which turns out was reported stolen before it was sold to me. Has anybody any experience with this sort of thing and could advise what I should do or contact ?

Hi @we_498955

Well, it is too late to return it or file a claim and most likely a charge back ... you own it at this point and since you did not know it was stolen at the time of acquisition you are not going to get arrested.

Now, what is the item? smart phone? automobile?

I am sure you can contact the police and turn it over to them if you want to ... just make sure you have proof you purchased it through eBay so they don't think you stole it.
