I was scammed and lost $4400
I recently purchased an expensive pocket watch on ebay (50% below market price). This seller has a whole bunch of ways to evade eBay's regulation. When I provided the unboxing video, eBay had already closed the case. I hope you will pay attention.Although this seller has more than 1,000 positive reviews.A large number of transaction records and positive reviews were forged by him. This is the saddest shopping experience on eBay in 10 years.
Why can’t eBay upload unboxing videos?
This seller’s routine is as follows:
1,He will upload a courier number that has not been sent.Until the buyer can't stand it anymore and starts a conflict.
2,When you and the seller are discussing why the courier has not arrived, the seller will suddenly change a courier number and upload it to the eBay system.
3,Then ebay will assume that you received the express delivery a few days ago.
4,At this time you will really receive a courier, but the courier number is different from the previous one. The important issue is that the package is empty.
5,Then you have to start the return case.
6,Because of his fake credit record, you will definitely lose money.

Mentor2 years agoUnboxing videos are not proof of anything, and are not necessary.
If a buyer files a "not as described" case with eBay on time, the buyer does not have to prove anything -- the seller is required to either refund directly or refund upon return of what was received, even if it was just an empty box.
As long as you start your case within thirty days of the delivery date shown in the tracking and follow the terms of the guarantee, none of the other details matter. If the seller does not cooperate, you can ask eBay to step in and refund you directly after three business days.
If you have waited too long for help from eBay, you may still have recourse through your payment method. PayPal and many credit cards offer some protection for up to six months from the purchase date.
Did this seller with over a thousand feedback have recent or past positive feedback for sales of expensive watches or similar sorts of items? Or was the feedback all for buying? Or for selling a few inexpensive items? It would be quite unusual for a seller with over a thousand feedback for selling and no pattern of bad feedback to suddenly decide to ship an empty box to a customer, or to try to use a false tracking number. Are you absolutely certain the empty box was from your seller, and not a different order entirely?
