We’re very familiar with this scam. Someone comes here to post about it daily.
Scammers like to pretend that eBay is involved in the transaction in order to win the trust of unsuspecting consumers … but it isn’t true.
I’m so sorry to hear you were scammed … and wish I had some hope to offer. But, sadly, there is no way to retrieve your money if you gave the scammer the codes from gift cards. They were used immediately to empty the cards. ☹ï¸

Unfortunately, gift cards are like cash -- once anyone knows the code, the money on the card can be immediately spent and there is little recourse at that point. Scammers know this. That is why scammers specifically ask for gift cards, and why they spend the money as soon as possible to prevent you from changing your mind and spending the money first.

I am so sorry this has happened to you, but this is a very common scam. If the vehicle is not listed for sale on eBay Motors or anywhere on the eBay site, it is a SCAM. eBay does not get involved in Facebook Marketplace transactions. eBay does not store vehicles or have warehouses. eBay would never act as a mediator for a Marketplace sale.
Unfortunately, the scammers have taken your money. I would immediately report this to Facebook Marketplace.
Again. I am very, very sorry this happened to you.
