I was misled by X's eBay customer service, and now I haven't received my goods and my money is gone.
I am a victim of incorrect advice from your Twitter support (eBay Help). I had an open case (ID: 5313630076) for an item never received. The Twitter agent told me to CLOSE the case first to fix a technical issue, but now I am locked out of the system and cannot reopen it. This is a technical trap. I have no item and no refund. I need a manual override to reopen this case or a manual refund now.

OP6 months agoThis is my final notice. Order 03-14295-88245. Your agent (eBay Help) provided fraudulent guidance that caused me to lose my money and buyer protection. If I do not receive a response within 24 hours, I will initiate a formal credit card chargeback and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the FTC for consumer fraud. I have the chat logs as evidence

Mentor6 months agoHi @akathef49
Nobody here is from eBay … so have no way to check or alter your account to reopen whatever claim you filed. [We’re fellow buyers and sellers who have volunteered helping other eBayers.]
I’m very surprised that you were told to close your claim by an eBay CS agent on social media, as they usually give accurate advice. That said, I’m glad you used a credit card to pay, and I recommend that you phone your CC company for a chargeback. [Whether or not you contact private or public consumer agencies about the problem you had is strictly up to you.]
I’m really very sorry this happened. Please read eBay’s Money Back Guarantee so that you’re ultra familiar with how claims work for the future. [You’ll find a link to it in every listing.]
And feel free to come back here whenever you have any questions about eBay. 🙂

OP6 months agoThank you very much. As a foreign consumer, I thought I could also lodge a complaint here. Yes, in fact, their customer service deliberately misled me into closing the refund. Thank you very much for your advice and attention

Mentor6 months agoYou’re very welcome @akathef49.
I’m curious as to why you were told to close your claim. Did you choose the ‘wrong reason’ for filing a return request by any chance?
